MyBotBin ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application and Chrome browser extension (collectively, the "Service").

By using MyBotBin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our Service:

  • Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account or sign in via Google OAuth or GitHub OAuth.
  • AI Assistant Data: URLs, names, and descriptions of AI assistants you choose to save.
  • Organization Data: Folders and tags you create to organize your assistants.
  • Usage Preferences: Your display preferences such as view mode, sort order, and theme settings.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not read, access, store, or transmit the content of your conversations with AI assistants. Our Service only stores the metadata you provide (URLs, names, descriptions) and never accesses the actual content or messages within those AI platforms.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use our Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Access times and dates
  • Pages viewed and features used
  • Referring website addresses

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Store and display your saved AI assistants
  • Sync your data between the web application and Chrome extension
  • Improve and personalize your experience
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support
  • Monitor usage patterns to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Encryption of data at rest
  • Row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
  • Secure authentication via OAuth providers (Google, GitHub)
  • Regular security audits and updates

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Chrome Extension Permissions

Our Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

  • activeTab: To detect the current page URL when you choose to save an AI assistant.
  • storage: To cache your authentication state locally for faster access.
  • Host permissions for AI platforms: To extract assistant names and descriptions from supported platforms when you save them.

The extension only activates when you explicitly click it. It does not run in the background or monitor your browsing activity.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

You can export your data at any time from the Settings page in the application.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your data
  • Export: Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction: Request that we limit how we use your data
  • Objection: Object to our processing of your data

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
